Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion in mesenteric postcapillary venule exposed ischemia and reperfusion. Images were recorded at 10 minutes after reperfusion. The top vessel is a venule (~30 micron diameter) and the lower vessel is an arteriole. The large cell separating the two vessels is an adipocyte. For more information about our research in this area see Microcirculation Sep 6 (3): 167-78, 1999.
