The Doctor of Philosophy degree is the highest academic degree offered by the University. It is conferred only for work of distinction in which the student displays powers of original scholarship. The doctoral program in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology provides an environment for the student to learn how to think, how to ask answer questions in the laboratory, how to write and communicate effectively, and how to develop into a productive and innovative biomedical scientist.

The Doctoral program consists of six (6) major components.
